Eduardo y Denislon lanzan al Arsenal
El Arsenal se impuso cómodamente en Bramall Lane y ya esta clasificado para los cuartos.
Después de que la racha de victorias consecutivas llegara a su fin el pasado domingo en Anfield, los”gunners” se volvieron ha reencontrar con la victoria, esta vez en la Carling Cup ante el Sheffield United de Bryan Robson.
Primera parte
Eduardo que acabo marcando dos tantos fue el mejor del partido y a los 8 minutos de juego adelantó al Arsenal. El ex del Dinamo de Zagreb marcó un extraordinario gol con el pie izquierdo desde un vertije del área tras un largo pase de Bendtner. Con el 0-1 en el marcador los locales no se vinieron ha bajo y buscaron la igualada. Pese sus esfuerzos la primera mitad concluyó con la mínima ventaja de un gol para los hombres de Wenger.
Segunda parte
A los pocos minutos de la segunda mitad los “gunners” volvieron ha golpear de nuevo. El ariete croata Eduardo marco su segundo tanto de la noche después de aprovechar otro pase en largo, esta vez del jovencísimo Kieran Gibbs que le dejo solo ante el guardameta David Carney, Eduardo definió perfectamente ante su salida. Se llevaban 50 minutos de juego y pese los dos goles de ventaja el Arsenal siguió dominando el partido. Denilson certifico la clasificación a 22 minutos del final con el 0-3. El brasileño finalizo una buena jugada individual con un tiro desde fuera del área que tras rebotar en el defensa local Chris Morgan puso el balón en el fondo de las mallas.

Después de este triunfo los de Wenger ya están clasificados para los cuartos de final de la Carling Cup que se disputaran en el 17 de diciembre.
